Sick Visits

A sick visit is typically scheduled as a same day appointment by the parent because of an acute problem arising with the child.

What Is a Sick Visit?

A sick visit is typically an appointment scheduled with Well-Rooted Pediatrics because of the onset of an acute issue with the child. Common ailments that lead to an acute visit include fever, headaches, sore throat, flu symptoms, vomiting, headaches, coughing, ear aches, skin rashes, quick onset of abdominal discomfort, injury, infections, among others.

At Well-Rooted Pediatrics we do our best to accommodate same day sick visits. If a same-day is not possible or not necessary we can offer established patients advice for care until we are able to see your child. The best course of action is to call us in the morning, or as soon as you begin to notice symptoms, that way we are more likely to get you in for an appointment that day. We will also direct you to visit a local urgent or emergency care if we feel that it is the best route for your child’s health.

At the sick visit we will work to diagnose your child’s injury or illness as well as recommend various treatments options from holistic or natural options or to more advanced treatments if necessary. Well-Rooted Pediatrics can provide you with school notes as required to excuse children from school due to illness.
